SEAQUAL®

All Blauw recycled swim shorts are made 100% from SEAQUAL® YARN, a high-quality upcycled polyester created from ocean plastic. This yarn is the result of a global effort to clean our oceans and transform recovered debris into something lasting and functional.

Working with SEAQUAL INITIATIVE, we contribute to ocean cleanups and help reduce the demand for virgin plastic in the fashion industry. The result: sustainable swimwear for men that looks timeless and feels good - above and below the surface.

SeaTrees

For every Blauw short sold, we plant seaweed through our partnership with SeaTrees, a regenerative ocean platform that restores coastal ecosystems and captures carbon naturally.

Seaweed is one of the planet’s most powerful tools for fighting climate change, absorbing up to 20 times more carbon per acre than forests on land. By supporting seaweed planting, we turn every purchase into a small act of restoration and help to heal the ocean that inspires everything we do.

Low-Impact Logistics

We’re mindful of the footprint that comes with getting your order to your door. That’s why we use 100% recycled plastic packaging and work with logistics partners that offer carbon-offset shipping.

Our mailers are recyclable, minimal, and designed to leave as little behind as possible. You won’t find flashy boxes or unnecessary inserts - just the essentials, delivered with care.

Blauw Circular Program

The ocean suffers when clothing is treated as disposable. That’s why we encourage our community to keep their Blauw shorts for as long as possible and when they’ve reached the end of their life, to send them back to us.

Through our circularity program, we ensure each pair is responsibly recycled instead of ending up in landfills or polluting the sea. By designing for durability and taking accountability for the full product lifecycle, we’re working toward a future where nothing is wasted and every choice honors the ocean.

Stripe Carbon Removal

As part of our commitment to going beyond recycled materials and seaweed planting, Blauw partners with Stripe Climate to support the development of groundbreaking carbon removal technologies.

A portion of every purchase processed through Stripe goes directly to projects that permanently remove CO₂ from the atmosphere.
